2021 New Years Card

An animated 2021 New Years Digital Holiday Card for Measured Marketing Inc.'s (MMi) list of clients. Where MMi held a competition amongst the designers for a Celebratory New Years Card for the company's clientele. I used this opportunity to familiarize myself with animating on Adobe After Effects by designing a quick typographic animation.

America's Favorite Toy!

A satirical project discussing about the gun culture in the USA. I transformed a popular handgun model (Glock 17) into a classic plastic model kit toy to note the aspect of how widespread and easy it is to own a gun in the US. By using a 3D printer to print the various parts of the Glock 17, I try to brings up how easy it is through the internet to find a ready made 3D rendering of every part to replicate a working gun. Thus anyone with a 3D printer could easily produce their own firearm. Juxtaposing with the gun culture that the USA is so very proud of.

Lecture Series Poster

Large format 20 x 30 poster promoting a fictional architecture lecture series. Inspired by the visual and conceptual elements in contemporary architecture. Balancing both structural and organic elements as well as using color and visual elements to guide the viewer's eyes throughout the information on spread. SAIC Intermediate Typography Fall 2017.

Budge Money Managing

Budge App is a conceptual money managing app that focuses on implementing an interactive game-like approach to money management apps. Using the sentimental aspect of taking care of a pet through the management of your money. The healthier you manage your money the healthier and happier your pet will be. As you manage your money well throughout, the more you can customize and unlock other pets! In collaboration with Jack Van Boom & Sarah "Sid" Sidani.

Northeast Power Grid System Infographic Poster

A 32" x 20" infographic poster about the "Northeastern Power Grid System" and the great power failure that struck a chunk of the USA in 2003. The poster features explanations on how the power grid works while showing a timeline of the power failure with radial imagery signifying the amount of people affected in various locations across the US. In collaboration with Jack Van Boom & Sarah "Sid" Sidani.

Typographic Anatomy: Helvetica

A book featuring an anatomical look into the Helvetica typeface; identifying the basic attributes of the typeface. Featuring transparent paper as the folio of the piece, bounded in a blizzard binding method. Allowing to detach the pages and juxtapose each letter of the typeface with one another for comparison.

Economy of Means

A suite of three posters announcing a lecture series. Each poster showcases a typeface representing an era of importance of the series' theme (Google). Displaying a historical series in a three step chronology. Each poster in the series prints as a single color that overlap one another, simulating the color application of offset printing.  Allowing the use of color and visual overlapping effects on the series.

The Hideout Logo

A logo design exercise of deconstructing the name "The Hideout" into its essential meaning and reconstructing into a logo to represent the brand. Using a cryptic series of vertical bars and circles that reads as "THO" when read sideways representing the speakeasy artist bar.

Untitled_Magazine is a bi-annual, student-run publication showcasing interdisciplinary work from students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Our team curated over 300 submissions and included 50 artists in our Fall 2018 Issue.
